Special Education is a complex system. Understanding your child’s rights and the school’s obligations can be difficult. Working with school teams to develop an IEP that you feel truly meets the needs of your child can be overwhelming. There are many federal and state regulations that protect the rights of your child to receive a free appropriate public education, but they can be difficult to interpret and apply to your personal situation.
I work with families in the Lake Tahoe basin and surrounding areas in Northern Nevada including Washoe County, Douglas County & Carson City Unified School Districts.

Progress reports are essential to determine if your child is on track to meet their goals. For evaluations to be effective, reports must include specific, measurable data. But what is your child's progress report really telling you?
